INTERJÚ: Green issues and English teaching: An interview with Peter Holly

Peter Holly egy kis magyar faluban, Sántoson élő angoltanár. Számos helyen megfordult már a világban, és sokfelé ismerik. Szerettük volna mi is jobban megismerni, és olvasóinkkal is megismertetni érdekes gondolatait és tapasztalatait. Could you introduce yourself briefly? Bemutatkoznál röviden? I was born in the UK but have spent my entire working life overseas living in various countries. I’ve been involved in education for over 40 years in one form or another – as a teacher, trainer, lecturer, manager, publisher, and now as a freelancer. Most of my English teaching is online nowadays, and I have students ranging from 11 years old to around 60 from various places in Hungary. I also teach face-to-face with senior managers at a company in Kaposvár near where I live in a village called Sántos. Along the way, I have acquired ELT qualifications such as a Postgraduate Certificate in Education and a Master’s degree in TEFL. I firmly believe in life-long learning and continuous professional development and am a member of IATEFL Hungary – I would recommend this to any education professionals searching for fellow teachers to learn from and to bounce ideas off.
