Iconic American actress Winona Ryder started her career early on with major films such as Beetlejuice, Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Edward Scissorhands and The Age of Innocence.  Often known for taking on interesting, sometimes eccentric characters, most recently she has received great acclaim for her pivotal role in the Netflix smash series Stranger Things. Ryder is soon to be starring in Disney’s Haunted Mansion and has a return to a fan-favourite role in Beetlejuice 2. Background Ryder was born Winona Laura Horowitz on October 29th, 1971, in Winona County Minnesota, USA to writer parents Cynthia an author and producer and Michael Horowitz, a publisher and bookseller. Ryder has a younger brother and two older half-siblings from her mother’s previous marriage. Ryder followed her father’s Jewish heritage. When Ryder was young, she and the family moved to California where her father owned some land along with other families which they all shared.
