It’s a beautiful picture of a thunderstorm above a city photographed from the air. It is a rare angle to see a storm from above, people usually experience it from the Earth. Dark clouds are looming above the landscape and we can see a bright lightning in the distance. People down on Earth probably hear thunder which is the sound caused by lightning. Depending upon the distance from the lightning, it can range from a long, low rumble to a sudden, loud crack. It may sound frightening but it’s usually nothing to be afraid of. The flashing lightning lights up the sky like fireworks and the banging, crashing thunder roars furiously across the sky. With dark clouds towering above the city like these, there must be pouring rain down on Earth. People probably run for cover or use their umbrellas, raincoats or rain jackets for protection against the rain. In case they don’t have an umbrella or a raincoat and there is no shelter against the rain anywhere they can get soaking wet in a matter of minutes.
